oRTB Integration Guide
This document outlines the required steps and technical details for suppliers and publishers integrating with Audiohook via OpenRTB (oRTB). It is intended as a client-facing guide to help streamline onboarding and reduce time to activation.
1. Commercial Setup
Insertion Order (IO)
Before any oRTB integration can be activated, a signed Insertion Order (IO) must be in place between Audiohook and the supplier/publisher.
Once the IO is fully executed, the Audiohook team will proceed with technical onboarding.
2. Supplier / Publisher ID Assignment
After the IO is signed, Audiohook will assign a unique Supplier / Publisher ID. This ID is required for the oRTB endpoint configuration and is used to attribute bid requests, reporting, and billing correctly.
Audiohook will share this ID directly with the supplier once it has been created.
3. OpenRTB Endpoint Configuration
Suppliers should configure their oRTB integration to send bid requests to the Audiohook endpoint provided during onboarding.
Audiohook supports OpenRTB version 2.6.
Endpoint Structure
The endpoint URL will include a placeholder for the assigned Supplier / Publisher ID, which must be replaced with the value provided by Audiohook.
Endpoint format:
https://us-east-1.bidder.audiohook.com/{INSERT_PUBLISHER_ID}/bid
Example:
https://us-east-1.bidder.audiohook.com/example/bid
4. Go-Live & Activation
Once the supplier has completed their oRTB setup, they should begin sending bid requests to the Audiohook endpoint using their assigned Publisher ID.
At this stage, traffic should be sent in a test or limited live state so Audiohook can verify that bid requests, fields, and data are being received correctly.
When bid requests are live, the supplier should notify Audiohook so approval can be completed on our end and bidding can be enabled.
To notify Audiohook, please email:
publisher@audiohook.com
No additional details are required in the message beyond confirmation that bid requests are now live. Audiohook will validate incoming traffic and confirm once the Publisher ID has been approved and bidding is active.
5. Recommended Discrepancy Monitoring Setup
Audiohook offers optional discrepancy monitoring to help identify and resolve reporting differences between supplier-reported data and Audiohook reporting.
Supplier Requirements
If the supplier would like Audiohook to monitor for discrepancies, please confirm this during or after onboarding. Audiohook will then request that the supplier set up an automated report from their system containing the following metrics:
- Impressions
- Revenue amount
Report Delivery Details
- Delivery email: publisher@audiohook.com
- Preferred frequency: Daily
- Alternate frequency: Weekly
Once reports are received, Audiohook will compare supplier-reported data against internal reporting and flag any discrepancies for investigation and resolution.
